COLUMBUS COUNTY, NC (WECT) - According to prosecutors in Columbus County, Thursday, 21-year-old Canisha Bell took a plea deal to testify against three people who were arrested with her in connection to the 2010 deaths of Otis Vereen and his brother Jerome Williams.
The victims were killed in the Ridgeland Acres Trailer Park.
By taking the plea, Bell is now just charged with attempted robbery with dangerous weapon.
Prosecutors say that if she does not testify, her murder charges will be reinstated.
