Victor Eugene Dorm (Source: WPD)WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) - Victor Eugene Dorm, age 24, was arrested Thursday night after leading police on a foot chase, according to officials.
An officer approached Dorm, after he was spotted walking down Loves Alley. Dorm immediately reached for his waistband, as if he was going to pull a gun, then started running.
The officer chased Dorm, on foot, as another officer drove up in his patrol cruiser and cut off Dorm's escape.
Dorm dropped a semi-automatic hand gun and was arrested for possession of a firearm by a felon, carrying a concealed weapon without a permit and resisting arrest, according to officials.
Dorm was booked into the NHC Jail under a $500,000 secure bond.
