
HARRISONBURG, Va. (AP) - Rayshawn Goins scored 18 points, A.J. Davis had a double-double and James Madison's defense stifled UNC Wilmington in a 78-50 Colonial Athletic Association victory Wednesday night.
The Dukes (8-8, 2-1) held the Seahawks (5-10, 0-3) to a season-low 27.5 percent (14 of 51) from the field and 3-of-15 shooting beyond the arc. UNC Wilmington committed 21 turnovers, leading to 29 James Madison points.
Davis had 16 points and 10 rebounds while Andre Nation netted 12 points for the Dukes. Devon Moore added eight assists.
The Seahawks have lost four straight and six of their past seven.
UNC Wilmington scored the game's first eight points, but James Madison rebounded with a 9-0 run. The teams were tied 15-all when Taylor Bessick's jumper sparked a 19-2 Dukes run which included five consecutive points from Goins and seven points from Davis.
James Madison led 38-21 at halftime and 77-40 in the second half.
