New Hanover offers free family fun on SundaysNEW HANOVER COUNTY, NC -(WECT)- For the first Sunday of every month, New Hanover County, offers a variety of free family activities for residents. All people need to do is provide proof of residency.
Several families took advantage of the offer and made their way through the Airlie Gardens on Sunday.
"It definitely makes it helpful because you can enjoy it for a little longer, it's just nice to not have to pay to get into the gardens," said Jess Demaria.
"We just wanted to come and tour this beautiful garden, its really beautiful," said Vernell Morris.
The Cape Fear Museum is also free of charge the first Sunday of every month.
