UNCW welcomes new students for spring semester

WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) – UNCW welcomed a new flock of Seahawks to campus Sunday morning, as new students moved onto campus to begin (or continue) their college careers.

University officials say 110 new students have moved into on-campus housing and estimate 125 new students have enrolled school for the spring semester.

Current students including some players from the UNCW baseball team and students involved in the Greek community as well as some members of the faculty and staff were on hand to help move in the new students.

Moving in 110 students was a breeze in comparison to the 2,000 students that were reported to have moved onto campus in the fall.

New students will begin student orientation tomorrow and classes begin Wednesday for all UNCW students.
