According to officers, Trooper Ronald Hester was traveling north on Joe Brown Highway outside of Chadbourn when Geneva Vann who was driving on Old Lumberton Road pulled out in front of him.
Both drivers along with Vann's husband were taken to Columbus Regional Healthcare System, with non life threatening injuries.
Many people in the community say, they hope the crash will alert officials that there needs to be a caution light at the intersection.
Officers tell us, as of right now no charges have been filed. The crash is still under investigation.
