According to the Brunswick County Sheriff's Office, 1,544 citations were given to people with a heavy foot and driving too fast.
Would you believe that nearly 1,000 people were caught driving without a license and just under 600 were cited for driving with a revoked license?
More people in Brunswick County were found in possession of drug paraphernalia (440) than were cited for DWI (389), and 335 were charged for possession of marijuana.
Other notable citations include 127 child restraint violations, 160 people caught driving without insurance, and 237 driving with an open container of alcohol in the vehicle.
