Donn AnsellWILMINGTON, NC (WECT) – The Lower Atrium Studio in the Hannah Block Historic USO/Community Arts Center was dedicated to the late Donn Ansell Wednesday, Jan. 9 at 11 a.m., according to a news release from a spokesperson on behalf of the Thalian Association, North Carolina's oldest community theater.
Wilmington City Council unanimously adopted a resolution in October to name the studio after Ansell, who was a local actor, media personality and supporter of the Thalian Association.
At the event, Mayor Saffo unveiled a memorial plaque, and Ansell's daughter and partner was also be in attendance.
