
WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) – Officers with the Wilmington Police Department are investigating a robbery and stabbing at a home on Capri Drive early Tuesday morning.
According to police, officers responded to the report of a stabbing around 1:00 a.m. They found a man lying on the sidewalk with a large crowd hanging around in the street and the front yard of the residence.
Police said it appeared the victim had been stabbed in the lower back. The condition of the victim is unknown at this time, but police said the injury did not appear to be life-threatening.
According to police, the homeowner at the same address reportedly was punched and kicked by several men. He told authorities the men stole his cell phone.
