According to recent statistics, over half of you have made, or will make, New Year's resolutions to kick off 2013. It's part of our human nature to admit to ourselves we are not all that we can be and a new year is a good time to resolve to get better.
But you know the rest of the story. Most of us try to bite off a bunch of changes and improvements - rarely with much success.
I've been hearing from a lot of people around town about a different concept. It was developed by a local pastor and it's called My One Word. The premise is pretty simple. Do something about one thing instead of nothing about everything.
I haven't read the book, but I like the theory and I think it is worth a try. It definitely falls in line with some good business principles and it ties in perfectly with what I learned in the movie City Slickers when Curly said the secret to life was just one thing and it's up to us to figure out what that one thing is.
Good luck with finding that one thing. Happy New Year!
