CAROLINA BEACH, NC (WECT) -The North Carolina Department of Transportation is set to begin work on Dow Road in Carolina Beach.
The project will widen Dow Road and add left hand turn lanes at three roads, Ocean, Cape Fear and Harper.
The work is scheduled to start in January and be finished before May 1, 2013. Town officials want to get the road work completed before the start of the tourist season.
Drivers can expect delays on Dow Road between January and May.
