NEW HANOVER COUNTY, NC (WECT) - New Hanover County personal property and real estate taxes are due no later than Monday, Jan. 7 in order to avoid an interest charge, according to a news release.
If the bill is not paid by the close of business that day, a 2 percent interest charge will be added to unpaid balances. Interest will continue to accumulate each month until the balance is paid in full.
If you cannot pay your bill in full, please contact the tax office at (910) 798-7300 to establish a payment plan.
The office is open from 7:30 a.m. until 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. However, the office will be closed Tuesday, Jan. 1, 2013 for the New Year's Day holiday.
