WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) - A group of Wilmington photographers will soon help area families make memories to cherish in the aftermath of the Sandy Hook Tragedy in Connecticut.
"Clicks for Kids," will take place January 5 in Downtown Wilmington from 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. at 27 North Front Street Wilmington, NC 28401.
Portraits are made in exchange for a donation to a Newtown, Connecticut charity of the families choosing.
According to a spokesperson for the campaign, the photographers wanted to create a fundraiser that would benefit the victims of the elementary school shooting in Newtown.
"Our hope is to create a fun day where kids up to age 18 can have their portraits taken by a local professional while donating to a charity in Newtown, Connecticut," explained the spokesperson.
To participate, families can sign up online at wilmingtongivesback@gmail.com. Checks can be addressed directly to individual charities.
