WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) - Everyone has different traditions for Christmas. Some enjoy eating as special cafes, others make signature meals. For many, a trip to the movies on Christmas day, is a long standing tradition.
"We do this every year," said Jeanine Treto. "I have older kids, so it's easier to spend family time at the movies."
The Treto family watched "Parental Guidance", one of the 3 blockbusters opening Christmas Day. Many shows for "Django Unchained" and "Les Miserables" were sold out at Mayfaire 16.
"A lot of people I've noticed are older couples whose children are probably not coming home and things like that," said Treto. "It still gives them a Christmas tradition to do with the family."
