The Board of Trustees of UNCW are meeting Friday afternoon for a specially called meeting regarding tuition, fees and other student costs for the 2013-14 academic year.WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) – The Board of Trustees of UNCW are meeting Friday afternoon for a specially called meeting regarding tuition, fees and other student costs for the 2013-14 academic year.
At the meeting, Chancellor Gary Miller recommended using tuition money
for financial aid.
He says it will go to 4,400 students who are mostly
from an eight-county area.
He's also recommending to raises athletic fees, saying that the athletic department has been ignored and does not adequately support
students. He added that women's programs are underfunded.
