ROCKY POINT, NC (WECT) - Firefighters worked to battle flames in Rocky Point early Friday morning.

According to Pender County dispatch, a house on 9040 NC Hwy 210 was engulfed in flames. The fire has since been extinguished.

The home was destroyed in the fire.

People were inside the home when the fire sparked but were able to make it out safely. No injuries have been reported at this time.

Officials are investigating the cause of the fire.
