WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) – Cold temperatures are the story this Friday morning. Grab a coat as you head out for your morning commute or send the kids to the bus stop. Temperature readings are starting in the mid to upper 30's with some wind chills in the upper 20's. Luckily the afternoon will be much nicer with high pressure firmly in control. It will be sunny with highs in the upper 50's area wide. Tonight will be clear and cold once again with lows in the mid 30's.
Saturday looks good with some high clouds moving in from the west. Highs will warm into the low 60's under mostly sunny skies. Clouds will increase more on Sunday and late in the day showers will become likely. The next front will bring more widespread rain Sunday night into Monday. Highs Sunday and Monday will be in the upper 60's to low 70's, very mild for mid December.
