WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) - Mayfaire Town Center officials confirmed Thursday that the shopping center will be expanding.
Planning started this week for phase three of the popular shopping spot, which would include the development of 75,000 - 105,000 square feet of vacant land off Town Center Drive.
Early projections estimate the plan to cost about $21 million. A spokesperson for the center could not comment about what businesses could be moving in, but she said more details will be released by Spring 2013.
By then, developers should be done with the pre-leasing phase and have a better idea of who is interested in the area.
The first store of the new phase of development is expected to open by Spring 2014.
