CFPUA's water valve replacement project postponed due to inclement weather

WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) - The Cape Fear Utility Authority's water valve replacement project covering a portion of 16th St. between Grace and Dawson streets has been postponed due to inclement weather, according to a news release.

Work is expected to resume next week between 7 p.m. and 7 a.m. CFPUA will issue an update Monday, December 17 with more information about next week's work schedule and which intersections will be affected, according to the Cape Fear Public Utility Authority.

Customers in the area who have been affected by the project will continue to have their service impacted during the overnight hours when work resumes. Service should remain normal throughout the weekend.
