Global Art Collectors and Celebrities Gather at the Buena Vista Building to Engage in a Celebrity Driven Photo Exhibit: COUNTERPARTS by Phil Stern and Robert Zuckerman
Miami, Florida (PRWEB) December 12, 2012
On Thursday, December 6, 2012, art lovers from across the globe gathered at the Buena Vista Building in Miami’s Design District for the celebrity photography installation provided by legendary photographer Phil Stern and contemporary Hollywood photographer Robert Zuckerman. The crowd celebrated with Zuckerman as they gathered to view “Counterparts” – a collection of images portraying yesterday and today’s luminaries.
The paired images reveal not only parallels in style in tone, but also illuminate two iconic artists that have made infinite impacts on our culture. The crowd reveled in Stern’s portrait of the “oh so cool,” original rebel, James Dean taken in 1955 alongside Zuckerman’s portrait of a youthful George Clooney circa 1990.
The exhibit also features two talented young women who tragically lost their lives too soon: an innocent Marilyn Monroe in 1953 alongside an angelic Brittany Murphy in 1997.
Both photographer’s timeless photography – separated by an entire generation – manage to correspondingly portray some of the most distinguished stars of then and now in a most intimate manner.
“COUNTERPARTS” was conceived and curated by Phil Stern’s son and granddaughter, Peter and Ashley Stern, who together run The Phil Stern Gallery in Los Angeles (http://www.philsterngallery.com).
The event was attended by Samir Shah, Managing Director of Graham USA. Some of the watches showcased at the gallery included: Graham Chronofighter Oversize Black Sahara, Graham Silverstone Stowe USA Limited Edition and the Graham Silverstone Tourbillograph. The event was also sponsored by Haute Living, Don Julio Tequila and Magellan Jets.

GRAHAM traces its origins to London clockmaker George Graham (1673-1751) who is considered as the father of modern watch making. He is known as the father of the chronograph as he invented the start and stop device of the chronograph. The dead-beat and cylinder escapement, the mercury pendulum to compensate the influence of temperature on pendulums, to name a few. He also built the master clock for Greenwich Royal Observatory which timed most of the 18th century and lots of science instruments for astronomers and physicists. GRAHAM was revived in 1995 and is today a privately owned Swiss watch company. GRAHAM SA creates and manufactures its watches in La Chaux-de-Fonds, Switzerland.

More about Tequlia Don Julio:
The process of creating Tequila Don Julio is as unique as the tequila itself. From the cultivation of the agave plant to the American white-oak barrels it is aged in, making Tequila Don Julio is a process that requires the skilled and practiced hands of people trained in the art and craft of tequila. Each bottle of Tequila Don Julio is made from the same handpicked, 100% pure, blue Weber agave plants from the highlands of Jalisco—one of the country’s most fertile agave-growing regions. It is here where each agave plant is allowed to grow seven to ten years before it is harvested, resulting in the mellow, fully developed agave flavor Tequila Don Julio is known for. It is this attention to quality, craftsmanship and tradition that sets Tequila Don Julio apart from other tequilas and makes it the world’s finest luxury tequila.
