Woman turned herself in for robbery; detectives search for another involved

BRUNSWICK COUNTY, NC (WECT) – A woman accused of being involved in an armed robbery at Winners World in Calabash last month turned herself into authorities in Brunswick County.

According to the sheriff's office, Ronchekala Shawntae Veness, 32 of Loris, went to the Brunswick County Detention Center Thursday.

She was charged with conspiracy to commit robbery and has bonded out of jail.

Deputies say two men entered the sweepstakes parlor November 29 by shooting out the front door, but several people were arrested and charged with conspiracy to commit robbery.

According to the sheriff's office, four of the five people accused of the robbery are from South Carolina.

The following people have also been arrested and charged in connection to the crime:

Xavier Aturo Jenrette, 22 of Shallotte, North Carolina

• He is charged with Conspiracy to Commit Robbery and Robbery with a dangerous weapon. He is also charged with simple possession of marijuana and several traffic offenses in unrelated matters.

Brandon Leroyal Dyson, 28 of Little River, South Carolina

• He is charged with Conspiracy to Commit Robbery and Robbery with a dangerous weapon.

Jacovian Wilson, 34 of Longs, South Carolina

• He is charged with Conspiracy to Commit Robbery.

James Kenneth Allison, 29 of Longs, South Carolina

•  He is charged with Conspiracy to Commit Robbery and Robbery with a dangerous weapon.

Deputies are searching for another person they believe was involved in the robbery. They are requesting anyone with information regarding the identity of the man pictured to the right contact authorities.

A man died inside the sweepstakes parlor during the robbery. No word yet if there will be charges in connection to his death, but the sheriff's office said more charges may be forthcoming.

Authorities say the robbery was planned out and that only two of the men actually went inside during the robbery.
