WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) – A stalling and weakening cold front moves off of the North Carolina coast line today, but not far enough off to clear weather up any too fast. Several upper level disturbances will travel along the backside of this front moving northeasterly out of the Gulf of Mexico. For us that will mean a few bouts of rain in the coming days, and some cooler temperatures.
High temperatures will continue to fall throughout the day today as cooler air slowly works its way in to the region. Shower chances will remain low until Tuesday night and Wednesday morning. Another shower break for the mid-morning and afternoon hours on Wednesday before our best and most prolong shot at showers moves through Wednesday evening into Thursday morning.
Thursday afternoon he drier high pressures finally moves in bringing clear and near normal cool temperatures in for the weekend.
