Racine businesses join together for S.H.A.R.E.

NEW HANOVER COUNTY, NC (WECT) - Restaurants and shops in Racine Commons joined together on Saturday for S.H.A.R.E. The non-profit helps out families in need in surrounding counties.

The stores offered discounts and sales and people were able to purchase raffle tickets or earn them by bringing in canned goods or shopping at five stores.

People also dropped off gifts for families, all of the money raised went towards S.H.A.R.E.

The need is here more than ever," said organizer, Briana Kelly. "That's why we keep it local - we are in these homes - we see these families. The families can not apply for this somebody in the human services field has to apply for them."
