WILMINGTON, NC (WECT)- An approaching cold front throws a kink in our unseasonably nice un of weather to start the month of December. Highs today will still surge into the mid 70s, but increasing clouds and shower chances could damper this afternoon. Behind this front, some much colder Canadian air will – albeit for a short period of time – will knock morning lows into the 40s on Thursday.
The winds Thursday will also help to make it feel unseasonably cool. Afternoon highs may reach the mid 50s at best.
Warmer air immediately returns as we head into the weekend, with high temperatures once again pushing into the 70s, or close to it for Saturday through Monday.
