Ronald Sparks has joined the Independent party.WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) – A former Wilmington City Council member and longtime Democrat said he's considering running for a political office again under a new party.
Ronald Sparks said he changed his political party to Independent two weeks ago.
According to Sparks, he never received full support from Democrat party officials during the three elections he took part in.
Sparks said most of the people who voted for him were in the middle or middle right.
Sparks believes it's best to stand on his own since the political climate is so polarizing.
