WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) – Ross Marino and neighboring residents light up their homes for Christmas. But this year, he took holiday spirit to another voltage. In the past, Marino has strung up 8,000 lights on his house alone but this year, he has nearly 40,000 lights.
In the spirit of Christmas and giving back, Marino is accepting donations. All proceeds will be donated to the Wilmington Christian Academy Scholarship Fund, Canines for Service and the Harrelson Center. The Harrelson Center oversees 10 non-profit organizations, including Habitat for Humanity. A donation box has been placed in front of the house,
To develop his Christmas light vision, Marino orders commercial grade lights directly from China, an order that typically takes about six months to receive. The lights are a higher quality and water proof.
Marino tests every facet of his light show and says the hardest part is programming. If you want to see Marino's Christmas light show, visit him at, 6507 Brevard Parkside at Mayfaire in Wilmington.
