WILMINGTON, NC (WECT)- Low visibility will once again plague the morning commute as fog sets in. A Dense Fog Advisory is in effect until 8:00 am. Visibility will at times be a quarter mile or less during the heavy traffic of the morning commute.
By the late morning, as the fog burns off, we will again see temperatures rocket into the 70s across the region. Compressed high pressure and westerly winds allowed temperatures to move into the mid 70s on Monday, and there is little reason to think this won't again be possible as we go into the afternoon on Tuesday as well. Yes, a few more clouds will develop as moisture ahead of a cold front starts to move through but temperatures will be warm none the less.
That cold font brings some small shower chances as we go into Wednesday afternoon and evening. Thursday much cooler air rolls in. Highs will struggle into the mid 50s. The 60s return for the weekend.
