BRUNSWICK COUNTY, NC (WECT) – A man charged with DWI was found guilty Friday of second degree murder, according to the District Attorney's office.

Daniel Brennick, of Southport, killed Satu Harris in a vehicle crash in May 2010. According to the DA, Brennick had a BAC or .24 when he drove his truck head-on into Harris' car.

The DA said several witnesses testified to Brennick's intoxication and a pattern of reckless driving from Oak Island to the scene of the wreck.

Harris was a mother of three children. During the trial her sister described Harris as an "extraordinary person and a joy to everyone who met her."

Brennick was sentenced to 15-21 years in prison.
