SURF CITY, NC (WECT) - Several people in Surf City will have to find a new place to call home, after a fire on Thursday night destroyed their trailer.
The Surf City Fire Department says they got a call at 7:43 p.m. that a single-wide trailer was on fire. When they arrived at the residence, 442 Jamaica Drive, the trailer was fully engulfed in flames.
No one was injured, however, the trailer was totaled.
Emergency Management Services called the Red Cross to help the three men who lived inside find a new place to stay.
Pender County Fire Officials cited faulty air conditioner wiring as the cause of the fire.
