According to New Hanover County 911 Dispatch, around 2 a.m., the vehicles collided on Martin Luther King, Jr. Parkway. Both cars were turned on their sides.
The westbound lane of MLK Parkway was closed at the Burgaw exit as authorities worked to clear debris from the road, but has reopened to traffic.
EMS transported one man to the hospital. According to state highway patrol, the person's injuries were not life threatening.
