
WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) – Drivers in Wilmington can expect to see final road closures this week for the Third Street Improvement Project.
According to the city, crews are paving between the railroad bridge and Davis Street over the next couple of days.
Monday, northbound traffic on Third Street will be closed at Red Cross Street and drivers will be able to take Red Cross to either Fourth or Second Streets as detours.
Tuesday, southbound traffic on Third Street will be closed at Davis Street with detours in place.
All paving is expected to be finished by mid-December and the road will reopen to four lanes.
