LELAND, NC - (WECT) - One man in Brunswick County is using his technology skills to spread the Christmas spirit.
Aaron Talley's light show kicked off Saturday night, and he says this year more people than ever before showed up for the premiere.
Talley starts planning in March for the show and builds it on his laptop. This year he upped his total to 20,000 lights and uses about 3,000 to 5,000 feet of cable.
Despite the increase in the electricity bill, he says it's all worth it, to be able to give back to his community.
"I never expected it to get as big as it has gotten," said Talley. "It really is a lot of fun, it's neat to look out and see people taking pictures in front yard, and to see car - after car after car."
Talley has a radio station set up, so people can check out the show to music.
The show starts every night at 5:30 at Talley's home:
143 Woodford Drive, Leland, NC 28451.
