BURGAW, NC (WECT) - Dogs lovers from around
the area gathered at the Poplar Grove Plantation for the 2nd annual Happy
Trails Pet Expo. The event had been previously postponed due to Hurricane
Sandy.
The event include attractions including an
obstacle course and a painting pooch, who happens to be a rescue himself.
A number of local rescue organizations had
dogs available for adoption as well as booths offering pet services.
Admission
fees and proceeds accumulated throughout the day will be donated to local
rescue groups as well as the Poplar Grove Plantation, a non-profit
organization.
