Arts and crafts show kicks off Small Business SaturdayWILMINGTON, NC (WECT) - An Arts and Crafts show kicked-off Wilmington's Small Business Saturday. From paintings, to pottery, to purses just about everything was for sale.
Eighty vendors came from as far away as Michigan to sell their work. Organizers say, it's a tough business to be in so events like this and community support go a long way.
"Artists I feel are just the epitome of small business," said show director, Lynn Wettach. It's usually one person, or a husband and wife, and they have to travel so far, and it's just so important to support the arts.
The event also takes place on Sunday. At the Wilmington Convention Center, from 10am until 5pm. It costs $6 for adults, and is free for kids 12 and under.
