WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) - With Thanksgiving over, it's time to start thinking about Christmas, and many families spent the day out getting their Christmas trees.
At the Optimist Club of Winter Park's Christmas tree sale at Hugh McRae Park, 850 trees greeted tree shoppers.
Organizers say they expect every single tree to be gone by Dec. 15, adding that the sale has been going on for more than 20 years.
For many families, it's become part of their holiday tradition to pick out a tree the day after Thanksgiving.
All of the money from the sale will go to the Zimmer Cancer Center at New Hanover Regional Medical Center and various other agencies.
