
HAMPSTEAD, NC (WECT) – Sheriff's deputies are investigating an incident that took place around 11:30 a.m. Thursday.
According to Captain Jamie Ezzell, deputies responded to a domestic dispute call at a home in the Hampstead area.
When they arrived on scene, shots were reportedly fired by a male suspect. However, Ezzell said that no one was injured at that time.
The suspect, Frank Johnson, 44 then fled the scene by motorcycle, causing a chase to ensue along Hwy. 17.
The suspect then crashed the motorcycle into a median, and was taken to New Hanover Regional Medical Center for treatment. Previously, he was reported as being in critical condition. However, but he is currently being held in the Pender County Jail on the following charges:
