WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) - Wilmington fire officials responded to a structure fire in the 500 block of Thomas Ave. Tuesday night, according to a news release.
The first unit arrived on scene at 9:44 p.m., shortly after the alarm sounded at 9:42 p.m.
According to officials, the fire started in the kitchen of the single story residential dwelling. There were no injuries reported.
The estimated damage to the structure and contents is about $20,000.
The fire was accidental.
