WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) - The day long wait for the cable man may be a thing of the past, at least for customers of Time Warner Cable.
The cable company announced Tuesday that customers can now schedule one-hour arrival windows. That means a technician will arrive within that time frame to start an installation or repair.
The service is available in South Carolina and Charlotte, Raleigh, Fayetteville, Wilmington and other coastal areas in North Carolina. Greensboro has the repair option, but will add installation soon.
According to the company, technicians make more than 150,000 house calls each month to install new service.
The company also offers a self-installation kit so you don't have to wait for a technician.
