Bailey Hicks

Bailey Hicks is a general assignment reporter at WECT. She joined the news team is July of 2012. Bailey loves meeting people, and telling their stories, so if there is anything going on in your neighborhood, feel free to shoot her an email at

Bailey comes from Charlottesville,Virginia. She graduated from the University of Virginia in 2010 (go Wahoos!), with a double major in English Literature and Art History.

After graduation, Bailey worked as a producer and reporter at WINA NEWSRADIO 1070, then as a producer and a reporter at WCAV, the CBS affiliate in Charlottesville.

She also worked for UVa's newspaper, the Cavalier Daily.  While in Charlottesville, Bailey covered the murder of Yeardley Love, and George Huguely Murder Trial, the ousting of UVa President Teresa Sullivan, and the August '11 earthquake.

When she's not at work, Bailey loves to run, cook and go to the beach.
