Just when you thought the campaign season was over. Mitt Romney and his statements are making headlines this morning.
This time he's talking about gifts. Governor Romney told a group of donors that President Obama won, because he gave gifts to minorities and young voters.
Governor Romney made those comments yesterday in a phone call to his top donors, according to ABC News.
The gifts are free birth control to young women, Obama care, and amnesty for kids of illegal immigrants. Governor Romney says that's why blacks, women and Hispanics voted to re-elect President Obama.
Those three groups turned out in huge numbers for the president at the polls. Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal, who supported Romney for president, does not agree with his statements.
"What the president, president's campaign did was focus on certain members of his base coalition. Give them extraordinary financial gifts from the government. And then work very aggressively to turn them out the vote," said Governor Romney.
"I don't think that represents where we are as a party and where we're going as a party. That has got to be one of the most fundamental takeaways from this election," said Governor Jindal.
