NEW HANOVER COUNTY, NC (WECT) – Deputies with the New Hanover County Sheriff's Office responded to a home invasion Tuesday around lunchtime.

According to the sheriff's office, a woman at the home was stopped by another woman with a gun while she was taking out her trash.

The woman with the gun forced her back inside the house and then let in a man and gave him the gun.

The sheriff's office said the pair forced the woman into a bedroom with her child while they rummaged through the house. The couple took some money and a couple cell phones before leaving.

The victim waited about five minutes before leaving the home to call 911. No one was hurt in this incident.

The suspects are described as a white female, wearing blue jeans and a grey hoodie with a pink bag. The male is a black man wearing blue jeans and a blue hoodie.
