
WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) - Linda Lavin, an award winning actress and singer, recently donated her personal art collection to the Cameron Art Museum, according to a news release.
Lavin presented the museum with a collection that includes many leading Native American artists of the southwest, as well as artists from the Bay area and New York City, as she prepares to leave her home in Wilmington for New York City.
The museum has made Lavin's collection a part of the museum's current exhibition, The Transformative Power of Friendship, which tells a story of friendship and philanthropy, according to the release.
There will be an opening reception for the exhibition, featuring the addition of the Linda Lavin Collection, Sunday, November 11 from 3 p.m. until 5 p.m.
