NEW HANOVER COUNTY, NC (WECT) – A Highway Patrol trooper was involved in a traffic accident in New Hanover County Thursday afternoon.
According to the New Hanover County Sheriff's Office, part of North College Road was shut down around 1:00 p.m. because of the accident at Blue Clay and College Roads.
The sheriff's office said there were some injuries, but everyone is expected to be okay.
According to officials, traffic is being diverted to Parmele Road while they clear the scene. Drivers are asked to avoid the area if possible.
