Fayetteville -
Cumberland County Sheriff's Homicide Detectives are investigating the death of a child in Fayetteville.
According to detectives, first responders were dispatched to a home in Fayetteville early Monday evening. They found a four-year-old girl unresponsive.
She was taken to Cape Fear Valley Medical Center where she was pronounced dead.
Her body will be transported to the State Medical Examiner's Office in Chapel Hill for an autopsy Tuesday.
The cause of death is unknown at this time.
