WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) - Wilmington Police are investigating a shooting that happened near the Creekwood Community Sunday night.
According to police, an 18-year-old male said he was standing on N. 30 St. when a man he did not recognize came from behind a building and started shooting.
The teen was shot once. Police say the wound did not appear to be life-threatening.
He was taken to New Hanover Regional Medical Center for treatment.
Police have not named any suspects.
The case is under investigation.
