NEW HANOVER COUNTY, NC (WECT) - Pleasure Island is pleased to announce bidding is open to renourish its beaches.
The Army Corps opened up bidding for renourishment for Carolina and Kure Beach.
Great Lakes and Weeks Marine entered their bids Thursday.
Army Corps will review the bids and decide in a few weeks.
Town officials say the bids look favorable, and the project is expected to start sometime this winter.
