WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) – Working as a pinwheel - spinning cold Canadian air into the region - Sandy is still having its impact on the Carolinas. A slight chance of showers will plague our morning forecast with thicker clouds moving in off of the southern edge of Sandy. We will, in addition to the cooler air and rain chances, also see strong winds again today with westerly breezes at 15-25 mph gusting to 30. Highs will struggle to make 60F.
Not many changes for your trick-or-treaters as Sandy slowly weakens and pulls northward. Our cold temperatures and breezes continue through Halloween evening.
Nicer and warmer weather will emerge late week into the weekend as winds subside.
