RALEIGH, NC (WECT) - The Governor's Highway Safety Program starts its "Booze It & Lose It" campaign just in time for Halloween.
The campaign will run through Friday, Oct. 26 until Wednesday, Oct. 31, according to a news release from the North Carolina Department of Transportation.
"It is important for those who plan to drink to find a designated driver. The consequences of drinking and driving can be deadly," said GHSP Director Becky Wallace.
Law enforcement will be out in full force looking to remove drunk drivers from North Carolina's highways.
