WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) – Some high clouds streaming past will be the only blemish to another near perfect forecasted fall day. Highs today will run in the mid 70s, with plenty of dry Canadian air in place; it will feel nice again during the afternoon.
Lows overnight won't be quite as cold as southerly winds associated with the return flow on the backside of the dry high pressure center slinks off shore. This will open the door to some much warmer temperatures and an increase in cloud cover for Thursday. Showers Thursday in conjunction with the next cold front aren't out of the question, but if they do crop up they will likely move in after dark. Friday, throughout the day we will see more slight chances for showers.
Saturday and Sunday look perfect as cooler and drier air moves in once again.
