TABOR CITY, NC (WECT) - The owner of Waterbrooke Assisted Living in Tabor City is responding to a letter of intent from the state to revoke the facility's license.
According to the letter that the owner of Waterbrooke received earlier this month, there were violations including bed bugs, roaches and problems caring for residents.
Another violation says a man died 12 hours before workers found his body. However, the county's coroner says the time of death can't be determined.
State officials say they received Waterbrooke's response and will review it sooner than later.
They say from there, they will decide where to go.
